The Benedict Armadillo is a Capture Level 3 Mammal Beast who's armour consists of bacon and a poached egg.
These beasts consist of a small head with a long snout and pointy ears, four short legs with long claws and a short stubby tail. The underbellies of these beasts consists of a lightly toasted English muffin and the armour consists of three slices of closely packed bacon and a poached egg on top. They sweat a natural Hollandaise sauce.
These are very timid creatures, shy and cowardous. In times of trouble, they will either curl into a ball, exposing their tough egg armour, or sprint away at a quick pace. They are insectivores, meaning they eat a wide variety of small insects and some arachnids. They expell a natural Hollandaise sauce when they sweat; it becomes a natural sun block with an SPF of 150.
Benedict Armadillos tend to live close to the ground where there are plenty of ground dwelling and low flying insects. The live in burrows which they dig under or by rocks where it's cool.
Powers and Abilities Edit
- Tough Shell - Unless the shell has been poached, it is very tough and can shield against the worst of punishment. The armadillo rolls into a ball exposing the hard egg armour.
- Speed - Used as a last resort, the armadillo's speed allows them to quickly maneuver away from predators. Their legs may look tiny, but when they move, they make every footstep count.
Once these beasts have been "killed", they must first be poached whole, gutted and then fried usually on the pan or on the barbaque. Once cooked, they sweat out the last of their natural Hollandaise sauce. They are a delicious breakfast for the day ahead or can make a decent appetizer.
- The beast is a combination of the Armadillo and the breakfast item "Eggs Benedict".
- The name is a play on words. It is a variation of the name "Benedict Arnold".
