Calories (カロリー, Karorī) are small amounts of energy found in living beings, often giving energy for their body's to function normally. In the Gourmet Age, those enhanced with the power of Gourmet Cells often find themselves becoming much more filled with energy than normal humans due to the immense energy needed to perform certain abilities they have. The more powerful the technique is, the more calories needed to perform it, often requiring sometimes Food Honor, allowing more calories to be stored in pockets of cells to be used for later times. The Bishokuya of the Five Gourmet Overlords, Ana Luce, created a technique called Calorie Seal that, through Food Honor and Food Immersion, maximizes the Calories in her body.
