The Gourmet Insurrection (美食一揆, Bishokuikki) is a criminal organization that was founded after Midora utilized the Meteor Spice to deal a great amount of damage to the Human World, and after the beginning of the Second Gourmet Age. It is rumored to have been created by the darker elements of the Human World, who fed on the hidden resentment that the populace had towards the IGO for allowing the Meteor Spice to fall in the first place, and used it to create a fully-fledged organization and army intent on destroying the IGO and taking control of the Gourmet Age themselves. Their astonishing level of growth have allowed them to gain access to Gourmet Cells, originally from a raid on an IGO laboratory, and then later acquiring them from the Gourmet World itself once they had created strong enough warriors to enter and acquire them. Their current modus operandi consists of them sabotaging or interfering with IGO-sponsored acquirations of ingredients, either to directly impede their progress or to acquire the ingredients themselves.
Their current leader and founder is unknown to the general public.
